TBR Solutions supports the Sustainable Development Goals
Sustainable Development Goals at TBR – SDGs
TBR Solutions takes responsibility and stands up for minorities. In this article we explain what the SDGs are and what they mean for us. We are committed to achieving the SDGs by 2030.
What does SDGs mean?
Sustainable Development Goals: Global goals for sustainable development.
What are the SDGs?
Sustainable Development Goals are seventeen sustainable development goals that have been internationally recognized by 193 countries. With these goals, 193 countries want to put an end to extreme poverty, inequality, injustice and climate change. That is why the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) have been developed. These goals can be divided into five themes. People, planet, prosperity, peace and partnership.
Which SGDs are there?
- No poverty
- No hunger
- Good health and wellbeing
- Quality education
- Gender equality
- Clean water and sanitation
- Affordable and clean energy
- Decent work and economic growth
- Industry, innovation and infrastructure
- Reduction of inequality
- Sustainable cities and communities
- Responsible consumption and production
- Climate action
- Life below water
- Life on land
- Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions
- Partnership to achieve goals
What are the Sustainable Development Goals for?
The sustainable development goals are about the environment and our society. The development goals have been set ensure that we don’t forget anyone. Because sustainability is more than just ‘going green’. It is also about equal opportunities, including education and quality jobs for all. It’s about seizing opportunities.
What responsibility does TBR Solutions take?
TBR Solutions takes responsibility and stands up for minorities. And you don’t just do that for yourself, you do it for the collective. Together, you’ll achieve more. In this article we will continue to add more about the sustainable development goals that we pay attention to within TBR Solutions.
We hope to inspire and encourage action. It would be great if we could increase our impact together and make this world a lot more sustainable.
TBR Solutions and SDGs
SDG 3 Good health and well-being
We would like to live in a healthy living environment with clean air, water and soil. A green environment through nature and forests provides places to relax and recreate.
Clean air in industries
Cyclone technology
We filter the air through heat recovery. The warm, used air from the process is cleaned by cyclone technology. After the separation of dirt, the (residual) air heat is exchanged with fresh incoming air. As a result, savings of 25-35% are achieved on energy consumption at full load and no polluting particles end up on the roof.
Atmosphere
Trees contribute to a healthier atmosphere by capturing air pollutants. We keep an eye on nature and the expansion of forests. We are happy to tell you more about what we are doing to ensure that more and more trees are planted.
SDG 6 Clean water and sanitation
How is it possible that we are not on track to ensure that everyone in the world uses water sustainably? Water means different things to different people. For some, the use of clean water is the most normal thing in the world, while for others it is not. To name just one of these goals.
Clean water from industry
Water filter
Read about how we help the industry save 3.5 billion litres of water here with the Lint-X Rotor.
SDG 7 Affordable and clean energy
Sustainable Energy for All (SE4ALL). Reducing CO2 emissions is one of the main goals to control climate change in the long term. The demand for cheap energy is increasing and the world population is growing.
Renewable energy
Solar
TBR helps the industry to convert solar light into energy. This solar technology ensures that, in sunlight and daylight, the light is converted into heat. This way you can heat the process water and you can also reuse the heat after the process. We use the heat in the wastewater to reheat process water.
We help build CO2 neutral companies, such as in the laundry industry.
SGD 12 Responsible consumption and production
We need to do more with fewer resources. The water that we use in the current consumption and production methods is often disposed of while it can be perfectly purified or reused. The energy can be reused, the water and often also the waste.
Reuse of water
SGD 13 Climate Action
We as a society are responsible for climate change. The temperature is rising and with that we will have to deal with more related disasters. This requires urgent collective action: investing in energy efficiency and renewable energy, creating awareness and promoting behavioural changes. A global challenge.
Renewable energy
We invest in electric driving at TBR itself and are the partner for industries to work on a CO2 neutral process in which we use renewable energy.
Forests store carbon. That is why we have decided to take our responsibility when it comes to climate change and plant forests.
SDG 15 Life on land
Planting trees is one of the most impactful ways to reduce CO2 emissions. One tree absorbs about 20-25 kg of CO2 per year. Trees enhance biodiversity and improve soil quality.
Plant trees
In 2022, we will plant trees! By planting trees we become climate positive. Do you want to know exactly what climate positivity is? It starts with awareness. Sustainability is a popular and widely used term today. But what exactly is sustainability? And what can sustainability mean for your organization? TBR can help. Read more on these pages about sustainability or climate positivity.
