Project description
Fliegel Textile Service is a German laundry group with a location just over the Polish border. Due to the wish to expand their capacity, a completely new laundry was built next to their existing one. This new construction offered TBR Solutions a unique chance to design the flow of energy within the laundry in a manner that was as efficient as possible. The brand-new drying line was fitted with 12 heat-x Air2Air Technology units. This new technology utilizes residual heat from the dryers by integrating heat back into the installation’s process that would’ve otherwise gone to waste. When compared to conventional drying processes that use common modern dryers, this new concept allows for an energy reduction of up to 30%!
Reaching the desired temperature for the washing process is done solely by using residual recovered heat from the entire washing- and drying-process. The residual heat is reclaimed from the dryers and wringers in the form of condensate. The small amount of residual heat left in this condensate is transferred to the Air2Air Technology, adding an extra step of heating to the incoming dryer air.
The waste water gets filtered completely and re-used using TBR Solutions’ drumfilters. The waste water is subsequently cooled to a suitable flushing temperature by our EMS waste water heat exchanger. The heat recovered by this process is reintegrated in the cleaning process by using it to heat up the water inlet. This lowers the energy needed to heat water, thus reducing energy costs.
