Long filling times and heating times are a thing of the past at WasMijnWas in Gramsbergen
An energy reduction of +20% for WasMijnWas, in collaboration with TBR Solutions
WasMijnWas has moved to familiar ground in Gramsbergen
TBR Solutions installs a sustainable installation that provides an energy reduction of +20%.
WasMijnWas is a laundry that specializes in the care of residents’ laundry and the textile supply for care institutions in the healthcare sector. Hygiene is an important part of their job and, especially now with Covid-19, extra attention is paid to this fact. They used to be located in Hardenberg, but WasMijnWas recently moved to Gramsbergen. A completely new production location has been built in Gramsbergen at the old location of the Moderna family laundry.
Who are involved in this project
Erwin Hilgen was the executive responsible from TBR Solutions. This project was supported by the entire team with the aim of using as little energy as possible. The result is a sustainable future-proof process installation. Owners of WasMijnWas, Pim ter Veen and Tom Olsman, have further optimized and professionalized the business with this step and are ready for the future.
Sustainable business and saving energy
TBR Solutions has been able to play a key role in this process. Starting from the run-up to construction, TBR were not only allowed to act as a sparring partner, but were also allowed to shape the sustainable plans from a technical perspective. The transition to stable processes, lower energy consumption and therefore lower cost were leading in this.
Result
Long filling and heating times are a thing of the past and washing processes are heated with minimal energy. The ecological footprint has been reduced and the energy reduction of +20% ensures a lower cost.
Trendsetters
The design of this installation played an important role. The laundry has been open since February 1, 2021 and is not only furnished according to the latest state of affairs, but can also function as a showroom for WasMijnWas customers. A wonderful combination of people and technology. The installation that the TBR Solutions team has installed and the wishes and objectives of the owners of WasMijnWas play a leading role in this. They are trendsetters in the field of sustainable business for industrial laundries.
In addition to the engineering and project management offered, TBR Solutions has delivered the following:
- Central water treatment
- Water buffer
- Distribution set
- ZeroSteam®
- Remote support installation
Technical details
The water required for the washing process is transported via the new duplex water treatment to a 15m3 water buffer. Via this water buffer, which is prepared to recover waste energy, the water is distributed with a frequency-controlled distribution set under low pressure and high flow. The Zero Steam® is also fed via this specialist distribution set, with which the process water is heated up to 90°C in a highly efficient manner.
The installation is controlled and monitored from a central PLC (programmable logic controller) which is equipped with a large screen. This makes the entire process transparent at a glance. The installation is accessible remotely with TBR Remote Support. Via TBR Remote Support it is easy to provide immediate support and to make adjustments in changing circumstances and to be assured of an optimal supply of water and energy.
TBR Solutions has been able to supply the connecting installation work, such as cold and hot water piping, compressed air, fresh air supply, flue gas discharge, sewer and gas, including Scope 7 certification. The new location of WasMijnWas is completely equipped with new material.
Relocation
In the weekend of January 30, the time had come and due to good preparation and tight planning, the entire production moved without delay. On Monday morning, February 1, a brand new sustainable operational laundry awaited the employees.
TBR thanks WasMijnWas for the trust placed in us and wishes WasMijnWas and all its employees the best of luck at the new location!
A location with ‘jonge luu on oale grond’ – young people on old ground, something to be proud of!
