For Laundry Katwoude, located on the Ije in Edam, TBR provided a vapor steam system. The HX SteamX is a steam and condensate system that rebalances the imbalance between directly and indirectly used steam. The condensate from irons and dryers that is returned to the feed tank of the steam boiler contains more energy than is needed to heat the cold make-up water for steam production. As a result, this excess energy is discharged and lost through the roof.

HX SteamX recovers this wasted energy by converting it into low-pressure steam used to further heat the laundry process, minimizing the use of fresh steam.

HX SteamX saves between 8-12% on the fuel consumption of your steam boiler! This can be even more as the system also reuses losses from poorly functioning condensate separators.
