Laundries in Chester, Perth, and Lancaster

Through Christeyns, TBR delivers to various laundries in Chester, Perth, and Lancaster.

  • Chester – HX SteamX
  • Perth – HX EMS
  • Lancaster – HX EMS Compact

In these images, you can see the HX SteamX. The steam condensation system, HX SteamX, creates a better balance for the optimal use of steam and condensate in the heating process.

How does a steam condensation system work?

The HX SteamX is a steam and condensate system designed to correct the imbalance between directly and indirectly used steam. The system utilizes condensate returning from ironing and drying machines to recover energy that would otherwise be lost. Condensate contains more energy than is needed to heat the cold make-up water for steam production, so the surplus is typically discharged and wasted.

The HX SteamX recovers this wasted energy by using it to generate low-pressure steam that can be used to further heat the laundry process. This reduces the amount of fresh steam needed, resulting in fuel consumption savings. Savings can reach 8-12%, and they can be even greater if the system can also reuse losses from poorly functioning condensate separators.

By using the HX SteamX, not only can energy that would otherwise be lost be recovered, but the efficiency of the steam system can also be improved, leading to cost savings.

How does a Heat Exchanger work?

The HX EMS is a heat recovery system designed to extract heat from wastewater. This system cools warm wastewater and uses the released energy to heat fresh process water. This results in a significant reduction in energy costs, as less energy is needed to heat process water. The HX EMS can be placed in heavily polluted wastewater streams because the heat exchanger is self-cleaning. This means that the system can continue to operate without the need for manual cleaning, maximizing uptime, and reducing maintenance costs. The HX EMS is a highly effective solution for companies looking to save energy and money by reusing heat from their wastewater.

Savings

  • The HX SteamX provides savings of 8-12% on steam production.
  • The HX EMS provides savings of 50%.

Reduced ecological footprint

TBR offers innovative solutions to the laundry industry to save energy and improve efficiency. In Chester, we delivered the HX SteamX, enabling savings of 8-12% on steam production. This contributes to significant cost savings and has also contributed to a reduced ecological footprint. Additionally, in Perth and Lancaster, we supplied the HX EMS, providing an even greater saving of 50%. This solution for heat recovery from wastewater has not only helped reduce energy costs but has also contributed to reducing the environmental impact by decreasing the amount of wastewater discharged. TBR continues to work on innovative solutions to promote sustainability and improve energy efficiency in the laundry industry and beyond.
