WasMijnWas, specialized in residents’ laundry and textile provision for healthcare institutions, is ready for an exciting expansion! In 2020, we were already involved in the construction of their entirely new laundry facility, and we are delighted to continue our collaboration.
New Installation
The kick-off for this expansion is the installation of a wastewater buffer (see photo) where all process wastewater is directed. This wastewater undergoes treatment, including filtration and the reduction of VE’s (pollution units) in the wastewater. Additionally, the energy potential is used through HX EMS to preheat the incoming cold water. This process is based on heat recovery and significantly contributes to reducing the initial energy demand. More information about HX EMS is provided at the end of this post.
But what else is going to happen at WasMijnWas?
We will keep you informed about the progress in this new project. Are you already following us on Instagram or LinkedIn?
The HX EMS can be installed in heavily polluted waste streams because the heat exchanger cleans itself. This means that the system can continue to operate without the need for manual cleaning, maximizing uptime and reducing maintenance costs. The exchanger has long proven its worth in the laundry industry. However, with current developments in the energy market, a second exchanger on the same waste stream has proven to be interesting!
